Companies know that the analysis of data is equally as important as its input, and that the procedures for analysis and reporting can be complex and time-consuming. Not with CPR. Now you will immediately and with little effort analyse the required information, while quickly creating detailed reports. The software is easy to handle and automates the creation of reports, even when data is extracted from various databases.
This solution combines our know-how in reporting procedures with the requirements of the users. The result: A high-quality software that is easy to use and can be deployed in complex environments. The high availability is convincing, even with the largest data volumes.
The software automates the creation of reports, even when data is extracted from various databases. Even if the structure of a database is adapted, CPR enables an intermediate and easy adaptation in the data model. Existing reports need not be adapted in this regard.
The finely tuned security concept permits user access only to those reports that are meant for him. Access rights can be defined individually for each report; even within a single report, access can be controlled with regard to every user.
Reports are a core functionality of every database. And they are only as good as the ease with which users can handle them. CPR is a management reporting tool. It simplifies the creation of reports and makes it possible to access a number of different servers and/or databases (multi-platform reporting).
The creation of reports with relational databases normally requires extensive know-how and high technical skills (SQL). With CPR, you will only have to co-operate with the IT department once, during the installation and definition of the data model. It is available to all users after that. Depending on the type of authorisation, it is now possible to redefine or adapt reports according to individual requirements, without any SQL know-how.
The expertise about the organisation of the report is contained in the data model. The Modeller module creates an image thereof. Various databases can be the source for the available fields. The user hardly needs to be interested in the source of the data; thanks to CPR no attention must be paid to this. An optimised SQL generator creates all queries automatically, for all of the utilised databases.
User-defined default values and selection lists simplify the work with parameters and filter fields. Logic definitions, such as for instance "previous month" as a time period, are also available.
The number of filter fields can be freely selected in every report. This simple and quick definition of filters saves precious time, and the flexible handling of constants, optional or required fields, substantially reduces the required effort.
With the Internet client you can carry out defined queries by way of the Intranet/Internet, using the selectable filter criteria. Unbeatable advantage: The reports are available wherever you require them; simple Internet access is all that is required. Internet Explorer is sufficient as a client; no other client needs to be installed.
CPR offers a finally structured definition for security settings. Access authorisations are definable at all levels. They can be defined for the user, user groups, individual reports, groups of reports, and even for each individual data field.
Besides a general authorisation for using the application as a whole, basic authorisations (for instance creating/changing a new or existing report, access to data domains, access to reports) can be defined in the security model.
Through these various authorisations you will also control access to sensitive data within a certain report. In this way, one user may have access to certain data, while the same data is made invisible to other users, who do not have the corresponding authorisation.
The security functions are based on a logical and hierarchical organisation structure.
